Despite the overcast skies and a gentle drizzle, ten passionate PMI Mumbai members gathered in Powai this Sunday morning — and what a lively and engaging session it turned out to be! The turnout was heartening, the conversations even more so.

We kicked things off with warm introductions, welcoming a few first-time attendees into our fold. The diversity in backgrounds — from technology and sustainability to authorship and community building — was striking, yet there was one common thread binding us together: our shared passion for project management and the PMI community.

💡 Highlights from the discussions:

Sustainability & the Role of Project Managers – Anand TELANG, PE, PMP shared deep insights from his experience.

AI in Project Management – Jayant Deshmukh, PMP® Author, spoke about practical ways to harness AI for project success.

Community Engagement – Ashfaq Ahmed (PMP, IIM-N) and Vivek A, BE, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, IIMC-SMP inspired members to identify local causes for the PMI Mumbai Chapter to champion.

Insights from the PMI Manila Conference – Vivek A, BE, PMP®, PMI-ACP®, IIMC-SMP unpacked the powerful theme M.O.R.E. – Manage Perception, Own Project Success, Relentlessly Reassess, Expand Perspective.

Authoring for PMP Aspirants – Vidhi Raj, PMP narrated her inspiring journey of writing a book for PMP hopefuls.

Session Recap – Lakshmy Shankar, (PMP)® helped compile and summarise the discussions, ensuring every valuable input was captured for the community.


We wrapped up with each member sharing a personal takeaway and agreeing to select a central theme for our next meetup to make it even more focused.

Over steaming chai and snacks, the conversations kept flowing — a reminder of the power of community when like-minded professionals come together to share, learn, and grow.
